Dawn Chorus and Radio Waves: A Weekend with the North Midlands Area
From the high-stakes world of competitive floral staging to an impromptu appearance on the airwaves, it has been a whirlwind week for the team.
Go behind the scenes at the North Midlands Area show as we detail the construction of our "Dawn Chorus" exhibit—a contemporary marriage of Eucalyptus bark, Norfolk moss, and bespoke willow sculpture. We also dive into the eclectic world of the show stalls, where a hand-painted flamingo screen with ties to Leeds Castle found a new home, and Victoria’s daughter made her debut on Yorkshire Radio.
It’s a story of vision, "kelter," and the wonderful community of seasoned competitors and professional arrangers that make the British floral scene so vibrant.

We Won an Award. Back in February. Yes, We Know.

Then a month. then a year. Then... look, Valentine's, Mother’s Day, and spring happened. Summer weddings....
First Voice: Waste Packaging ft. Helen Chambers
Waste packaging is doing serious damage to the environment and wildlife, and much of it is due to the lack of recycling and reuse of packaging. Self-proclaimed as “a bit of an old hippy”, Evolve Flowers founder Helen Chambers is on a mission to make the flower industry more sustainable. “A big issue for florists is that a lot of flowers come packed in cellophane sleeves – they’re drowning in cellophane,” she says. “In the UK it has to be industrially recycled, and for small businesses that’s not practical.” Evolve therefore supplies both wholesale and retail flowers without plastic. Some...

A huge display made out of Mannequins for the whole A16 to see! Why? To help spread the love, create conversation and give someone something out of the ordinary...
