It's Chelsea week, and the fields are finally getting some proper water. April showers arrived in May this year, which the crops needed. Which means everything is coming in fast. So let's start with something we'd normally finish on, as it's important.

Final word first

Collecting from our growers means a two to four-hour circuit across the "golden triangle" of Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, and Norfolk every time we go. Actually, it feels more like a Fibonacci spiral than an actual triangle. Ordering a few days ahead genuinely helps us make the run work, and it means your flowers arrive in better condition. A bit of notice goes a long way.

Order before 2pm for next-day delivery. Standing orders, ad-hoc orders, and last-minute requests are all welcome. If something's not showing on the site, get in touch, and we'll check what the growers have in the field this week.

Now that's done, here's what's coming through from British growers right now.

Peonies: fresh cuts every other day

The peonies were a bit stop-start through April, but they're in their stride now. Fresh cuts are arriving every other day from our Lincolnshire growers, and some extra tall supersized varieties from Norfolk - the season feels properly underway.

If you have wedding or event work through May and June, get standing orders in now. Chelsea week drives demand fast, and the early stems won't hang around.

British-grown, seasonal, and travelling a fraction of the distance of imported alternatives. If sustainable sourcing is a conversation with your customers, peonies are an easy one to answer right now.

Sweet Williams from Lincolnshire

Sweet Williams are delivering well and earning their place on the order sheet. Long-lasting, good colour range, and they hold well in the vase for whoever's taking them home. All British-grown!

These Williams are great value for early summer hand-ties, posies, and anything where you need volume without stretching the budget.

Alliums: white and purple, Lincolnshire

The alliums are in, white and purple, and they're having a moment on social media. Florists are using the pom-pom heads as a makeshift microphone, and it's all over the feeds right now. If you're posting your work, tag us and use #BritishFlowersRock !

Scented stocks: order ahead, we mean it

Scented stocks are in high demand, and we've already run short twice this week. The grower is right at the edge of our collection radius, so we can't turn around for more at short notice.

If you want stocks, place your order a few days in advance. We'll always do our best, but we can't guarantee them on a short turnaround right now, and we don't want to let you down on one of the most popular stems of the season.

Alstroemeria: three coordinated bundles now available

Alstroemeria Ben's crop is looking very good right now. He's got a wide colour range in, and has now put together three coordinated bundles, so if you want a ready-made colour story without mixing and matching yourself, that's worth looking at.

British-grown, strong vase life, and solid for any volume work where alstroemeria earns its keep.

The viburnum opulus is on its final cut. Once it's gone, it's gone until next year. If you've been using it, get an order in now.

COMING SOON: Eremurus

Eremurus is on its way. We'll update the site as it comes in.

Watch for Eremus Coming In

And that's that, I'll see you at Chelsea on Tuesday!
