Butterfly Ranunculus and the First Peonies of the Season
Butterfly ranunculus are landing this week, the first peonies are nearly here, and the rest of the field is filling out fast. Here's what's coming through from our British growers.
Butterfly Ranunculus from Flourish Produce
This week's crop report belongs to butterfly ranunculus. Every stem we have is coming in from Flourish Produce in Cambridgeshire, certified organic, grown along the River Granta between Hildersham and Linton. If you've been waiting for them, this is the moment to get an order in.
Five varieties available right now, all in bunches of ten:

Butterfly ranunculus does the work of three flowers in one stem. Multiple buds per stem, papery petals, and a colour palette that pairs cleanly with peony work, garden-style bouquets, and bridal anything. They open slowly and hold for ages in water, which is part of why they're worth the price for both you and your end customer.
Flourish runs regenerative practices on top of organic certification: crop rotation, green manures, and animals back on the land. If your customers care about sustainable, properly British-grown flowers, these stems are an easy story to tell, and they're some of the most sustainably produced British flowers we sell all year.
Standard ranunculus

The wider ranunculus crop is past its peak. Stems are shorter now, but the heads are still full, and the colour is still very good. Worth the rack space for posy work, button holes, hand-tied stems, and anywhere you don't need height. We've also got Courchevel from Flourish in standard form for anyone who wants the same grower without the butterfly price point.
Don't overlook them while they're still around. Two, maybe three more weeks at most.

Peonies, first of the season
The first peonies of 2026 are in. have arrived first, short-stemmed and packed with petals. Red Charm, the pinks, Hawaiian Sunset, and Coral Sunset are all coming in over the next few days, with the full peony range going up on the site through the back end of this week. Check in over the next few days as the complete list as it builds.
If you have wedding work or events coming up in May, place your standing orders now. The early cottage stems are short, and they move fast.
Plenty of Solomon's seal and alstroemeria

Foliage and filler are in strong supply. Solomon's seal is fresh in for Spring: long arching stems, fresh green, ideal for installation work and anything trailing. Alstroemeria is plentiful in good lengths and across a wide colour range.
Both are British-grown, and both are good value right now. Both will save you money on any large piece where you need volume.
