Delphinium - Blue x 5 stems
Bring the breathtaking, structural elegance of the British countryside into your designs with our blue Delphiniums. Proudly grown outdoors in the fertile soils of Lincolnshire, these statuesque stems feature packed columns of vivid, true-blue blossoms. Standing at an impressive 75–80cm, they are a seasonal favourite for adding dramatic height, clear colour, and architectural impact to luxury installations, high-end pedestal arrangements, and English country garden-style designs.
Proudly Lincolnshire Grown
Cultivated by expert outdoor growers in Lincolnshire, these Delphiniums capture the exceptional quality and strength that comes from natural, open-field growth. Because they are grown in harmony with the British climate, they possess a rustic, authentic charm and a rich depth of colour that greenhouse alternatives simply cannot replicate.
Mechanics & Handling Guide
Delphiniums possess natural, hollow stems which require careful mechanical consideration to ensure maximum longevity:
- Support Required: Due to the weight of the heavy bloom columns and the hollow nature of the stems, they benefit greatly from structural support within large installations.
- Water Over Foam: We highly recommend designing with these stems directly in fresh water vases or tubes rather than floral foam. Hollow stems struggle to pull adequate moisture from foam mechanics, whereas a deep water source will keep them crisp and turgid for days.
Pro Conditioning & Care
To ensure the best possible vase life and prevent premature petal drop, these stems respond beautifully to professional post-harvest conditioning:
-
Conditioning Recommendation: This product will benefit immensely from the use of CVBN tablets during post-harvest conditioning, or treatment with Chrysal Professional 2 (Pro 2) during storage and transit. These specialised treatments clear the stem pathways, neutralise bacteria, and drastically improve water uptake.
