Delphiniums possess natural, hollow stems which require careful mechanical consideration to ensure maximum longevity:

• Support Required: Due to the weight of the heavy bloom columns and the hollow nature of the stems, they benefit greatly from structural support within large installations.
• Water Over Foam: We highly recommend designing with these stems directly in fresh water vases or tubes rather than floral foam. Hollow stems struggle to pull adequate moisture from foam mechanics, whereas a deep water source will keep them crisp and turgid for days.

To ensure the best possible vase life and prevent premature petal drop, these stems respond beautifully to professional post-harvest conditioning:

• Conditioning Recommendation: This product will benefit immensely from the use of CVBN tablets during post-harvest conditioning, or treatment with Chrysal Professional 2 (Pro 2) during storage and transit.
