Crop Report - 01st April 2022

April Crop Report

Hope you’ve all had a chance to recover after Mothers Day.
I’ve got a busy weekend ahead — set up for Farmers Market, play date at a Flower Club Workshop & GFG mini conference 🥳 I decided on my birthday last week that I need to get out more so here we go!
A change is as good as a rest ?! Well nothing much is normal that’s for sure; we have had plenty of change with the weather this week already - rain, snow, hail and sun for the last couple of days.

Our latest Product Focus Vlog looks at import Lisianthus this week and is worth a quick watch here.

Growers Choice Mix Boxes Are Back!

  • MIXED BOXES are back on the menu and a slightly different mix this week - full variety of British grown - see web shop for details 🙂

Tulips

  • Plenty of selection on Tulips this week too
  • Red - Rescue
  • Yellow - Strong Gold
  • Pink - Charmeur
  • Double Peony Columbus
  • Purple - Laptop
  • Bi colour - Denmark
  • Orange - Verandi
  • Cream- Creme Fraiche
  • White - Agrass White

Daffodils

  • Doubles singles and multiheaded - despite saying we thought IOScilles were ending there’s more Avalanche, Sir Winston Churchill and some assorted white multi headed.

Alstroemeria

  • Lots of Cornish Alstro arriving - if you need specific colours - pop a note on the order - there’s much more to go at this week 🙂

Foliage

  •  Pittosporum is coming - unsure of the day - if you would like please pop a note on your order and we will add it on when it arrives.
  • Plenty of Parvifolia although our growers can see the end is coming! Don’t promise to brides beyond April unless you are switching to import 🙂
  • Wild green garden foliage continuing at the moment.

Sundries

  • Don’t forget lots of Raffia, Jute cord and twines for Easter.

Import Flowers

Last delivery of Dancing Queen Waxflower - so lovely and such a short season - try it if you can it’s really pretty addition to add to the spring selections.
  • Lisianthus is back in and selling fast
  • NEW! Statice Limonium - also from Yonash Israel and lovely quality - bonus as yellow appeared in the mix too
  • Ranunculus - last of the season of these lovelies and hoping British grown will get a move on.
