PEONY PARADE !! Thunder, lightening and deluges of rain overnight with strong sun during the day and temperatures of 20c + Mother Nature does it every year and we are all working at pace chasing Sweet Williams and Peonies. Somehow it always settles down after the first earlies are off the fields and as everyone welcomes back the parade of peonies that are here for such a fleeting moment in time!  NEW: Scented Pinks - lots of lovely regal purples, pinks are coming  Cornflowers, field grown Delphinium white and blue.  BOOM the season has started! we will just get going and...

MAY MADNESS CONTINUES!! We prayed for rain and we got it - a plentiful downpour drenched the fields and then as usual out comes the sun - It brings on the crops with abundance!! There's plenty to choose from on the menu this week so we have decided to close Tulips to make room for Peonies :) there's a few on bulb which add a contemporary look to designs.  "The sun after the rain is much more beautiful than the sun before the rain" Bill Watterson   NEW: LOTS of Lupins - gorgeous scent !! MAY MADNESS !! The explosion that is British grown has kicked off and we are at the beginning of the peak growing season! Hedgerows are teaming with cascades of blossoms and cow parsley decks the verges. Welcome to June already?! It seems like about five minutes since we started May!! So finally some warmer weather is scheduled! It seems like the entire country is migrating to Norfolk this weekend for Half Term and the Bank Holiday Weekend...caravan convoys have started...it will be fun collecting flowers this week - the A17 being our main route :) The (heatwave?) weather will bring on Sweet Williams and Peonies and other limited editions such as Astrantia and Eryngium. Wind and wet with sunshine and thunder in between - what a week Mother Nature is throwing it at us! We featured on Happy Hour with BBC Radio Lincolnshire promoting British grown flowers and the #flowerhugs campaign for the #GoodFloristGuide - we can recommend getting in touch with local radio - they are always looking for good news stories!
