Can you believe British Poinsettia are going to be in stores next week ?!  The grower tells me it gets earlier every year! it's certainly a tactic to increase sales !! We will be collecting samples next week too so and discussions will continue with hauliers regarding transport of British grown plants as it seems there is demand!

Do we miss Autumn by being so far ahead of the season? I'm most definitely done with pumpkins... lol... interestingly the scented Narcissi sold out in our shops last week too - seems consumers are certainly getting ahead!

This weekend is the BFA Awards and Vision Conference where I am also on the speakers line up answering all the florists burning questions about the British bit of the Flowers & Plants industry. Tickets at the BFA website

Pampas Grass 

  • The fluffy pile is depleting fast - please don't ask me for it after xmas - when it's gone its gone!

MOSS

  • Plenty of Moss still in stock.

Chrysanthemums

  • Continue and new darker pinky lilac.

Narcissi

  • Paper whites - steady - good stock levels

Insidgen Yellow

  • Yellow steadily coming in with good stock levels

BRASSICA is here!

  • Autumn feature and great long-lasting space filler flower! hundreds of thousands of these are grown. I know you don't like them but the customers do! An essential product for the British Autumn flower selection :) Fills a BIG GAP!

  • Keep Buckets clean with Chrysal bucket cleaner and use CVBN tablet in the water to reduce any cabbagey aroma! Recut stems frequently. Look great with a sprinkling of Bioglitter for Halloween and Christmas or simply when you need some sparkle!

  • NORFOLK EUCALYPTUS lush mixed bunches from Norfolk! LOVE this product - looks fabulous with the Pampas for a bit of Boho chic!

  • Cornish & Norfolk grown. Plenty with good colour range - add a note to your order if you need specific colours.

Courier Update

  • DPD continues to be doing a good job. The trial courier will be mainly be delivering your moss, foliages and mail order boxes and they are very experienced in delivering British grown plants! DX will continue delivering the bigger boxes - thank you to those whom sent feedback - always appreciated.

Final Field Notes

  • Tulip season will be late starting and is planned for Mid December.

  • Early forced pre-Christmas Daffodils are being planted now.
