  CROP REPORT 23rd July 2022  Phewweee what a week!! July continues with 30c temperatures predicted for the coming week so keep all your hot weather tips handy. Look after the coolers ... keep those buckets clean...please pray for rain!?! SCHOOLS OUT! it is officially The Summer School Holiday here! BRACE FOR THE HEATWAVE! Mega hot weather is expected next week with Amber/Red warnings for heatwaves across the UK.  We are planning product care carefully and coordinating with growers to make sure we refrigerate and condition everything to give it the best chance of surviving the journey to you. We have been pre-cooling boxes this week and of course our paper-wrapping means minimum condensation in the boxes. Field grown product has to be harvested and chilled carefully in order not to stress the product. Our growers are changing start times (as are we) to ensure everything - including the croppers...

CELEBRATE SUMMER! Every Week is British Flowers Week at EVOLVE This weeks news is dominated by Wimbledon and Westminster!! An apt Chinese proverb for this weeks quote! I'm sure the Great British public need cheering up as we are very much in the half year slump!! so it's on with the wobbly eyes on those lovely Lincolnshire sunflowers and some floral ice-creams made out of short stems or dried flowers to encourage some smiles!  Pictured are the novelty floral ice creams that were well received at a NAFAS Demonstration I did this week - all British grown and eco arranged...

CELEBRATE SUNFLOWERS!! Every Week is British Flowers Week at EVOLVE What a week to welcome the first of July!! AMAZING time with Gregor Lersch, my all time floral hero - incredible Master florist and huge supporter of slow grown, locally sourced flowers. He highlighted that this trend is strengthening worldwide during the demonstration and workshop that celebrated NAFAS North Midlands Diamond Anniversary at Newark. Two days of fun, friendship and flowers with some very lovely friends, florists and arrangers....then back to the farm to 'woman a production line' to process over ten thousand Lincolnshire sunflowers to go to London - Sunflowers...
